Traditionally used by shipbuilders and carpenters to clean up sides of large mortises and level off hewn surfaces. Our slick has a 2-3/8" wide blade, hand-forged of high carbon tool steel. Blade length is 10". Blade is tapered from socket to edge, and has a convex top surface for strength. Socket is offset to allow for clearance between handle and work.
