Peavey

The peavey is about the most useful tool for moving logs! It was designed in 1857 by Joseph Peavey, a Maine blacksmith and inventor. The peavey was a modified version of the cant dog and was widely used in the annual log drives down Maine's rivers. Professional loggers, the world over, still use peaveys today.

Our peavey is basically a heavy-duty lever with attached fulcrum. One man can easily and efficiently maneuver fallen timber or hanging trees. Has forged steel socket and hook with driven pick.
